Controversial Talk Host Michael Savage Roasted And Lamb Basted
Michael Savage has recently been blasted for his remarks about Ted Kennedy during his time of ill health. Media Matters, several newspapers, op eds, and blogs have lamb basted him for his handling of the news that Ted Kennedy was stricken with a brain tumor.
Savage played songs by Dead Kennedys and reviewed Kennedy's past senate voting record. He has also posted Kennedy's liberal voting record on his website.
OK, what's the big deal? What has he done wrong? He never once during his tirade against Kennedy demonstrated any remarks that could be interpreted as disparaging towards his health woes.
Where was the media when Lionel of Air America Radio said hurray for the tiger that escaped from the San Fransisco Zoo? Where were the op eds denouncing those that wish harm to our President? Where were the blogs roasting those that wished Republicans ill health? Where were the newspapers when The Huffington Post compared Hilary Clinton to Stalin?
I am neither Liberal or Conservative, but squarely down the middle. I take every issue and candidate on their individual foot print. Even if I don't always agree with Savage I do feel that if the media and the new media tools are going to fry him then fry the other side also or keep your trap shut.
