digg.com Retreats from its Original Purpose
Digg.com was originally a means to garner advertising from subject matter submitted by members. The hope was as citizens searched for a topic it would pop up on Digg.
However, the new digg is nothing but a downline members only gathering of loyal shout buddies that digg an article as if the clan mandated it.
As a result, the digg submissions are targeted towards a few diggers that modify diggs content.
A hand full or a couple of hundred diggers control the content.
Digg has become a collection of garbage and refuse along with a couple of good articles that never get digged because the submitter has yet to enlist a blind following.
The only way to succeed in the future is for Digg to analyze content as does google or cuil.
Presently digg is not high on content retrieved by search. Ezinearticles garners more hits with info minded searchers and click thrus.
Digg.com needs to have a way to rate submissions on a peer to peer basis and not by blind subscribers.
